TAP has scheduled a new route connecting Lisbon (LIS) with São Luís (SLZ) via Fortaleza (FOR), starting 26 October 2026. The service strengthens connectivity between Europe and Brazil’s Northeast, including the Lençóis Maranhenses region. Flights will operate twice weekly: LIS–SLZ (Mon, Thu) at 19:05–00:10+1; SLZ–FOR–LIS (Tue, Fri) at 01:40–14:50+1.

LEVEL has announced the launch of a new non-stop service between Barcelona (BCN) and Lima (LIM) starting 3 June 2026,  marking its first route to Peru. Flights will operate 3 times weekly (Wed, Fri & Sun): BCN-LIM at 13:55-19:50; LIM-BCN at 22:05-17:50+1. The airline will be the only carrier offering direct flights on this route.

LATAM has advanced the launch of its new non-stop route from São Paulo / Guarulhos (GRU) to Cape Town (CPT) to July 2026, originally planned for Sep. The service will operate 3 times per week and marks LATAM as the first South American airline to offer direct flights to Cape Town, responding to growing demand between South America & Southern Africa.
